Charming 1930s architecture, fully modernized for comfort. The staff provided exceptional service, personally escorting me to my cozy room with lights on, creating a warm atmosphere. Fresh coffee was offered when I inquired about getting some from nearby. A lovely location with restaurants and a park within walking distance made for an enjoyable stay.

Had an awesome time staying here with my friends! We checked out the San Diego Zoo and visited Balboa Park, both must-see spots! The vintage vibe of the hotel is super charming, and the hosts are incredibly welcoming. The breakfast was delightful, and the location is perfect for exploring. Definitely worth a stay if you’re in the area!
We did experience some noise from the street that disrupted our sleep a bit, which was something to keep in mind.

The hotel has a lot of charm with its historic features. The owners are incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home right away. Clean rooms with comfortable bedding helped make my stay enjoyable. The patio area is a nice spot to unwind. However, the water pressure in the shower was disappointingly low, and the water temperature was lukewarm, which took away from the overall experience. A little fridge in the room would have been great, especially for longer stays. Additionally, noise from outside traffic and other guests could sometimes be disruptive, which is something to consider if you're a light sleeper. Overall, the location is fantastic, close to restaurants and shops, making it easy to explore the area.

easy access to parks and local dining options
I enjoyed the clean and cozy rooms during my stay, and I loved that great restaurants and Friendship Park were just a short walk away, making it easy to explore and unwind in nature after a day spent walking around the city. the staff were super helpful too, which added a nice touch to the experience. The only downside was that the building is a bit older, which can make it noisy at times, but it didn't detract too much from my overall visit.
